Getting here by public transport

• The nearest train station is only 1000 metres down the road (Trainstation: Bahnhof Koelln-West) or respectively 1300 metres (Trainstation: Banhof Koeln-Ehrenfeld).
• Tram lines 3 & 4 stop at "Piusstrasse" which is ca. 300 m away, roughly a 3 min walk. Your connections leave mostly every 5 minutes.

Without changing trams you can reach:

• Friesenplatz (Belgian Quarter /Ringe - another night live hotspot): in 4 min or 2 stops
• Neumarkt (Innnenstadt): in 8 min or 5 stops
• Tradeshow Messe Deutz: 15 min or 7 stops

Getting here by Car

• Motorway A57:  Turnoff Koeln-Zentrum (ca. 1,5 km)

Please do note: you need a fine dust (or environment sticker / Umweltplakette) to be allowed to drive your car in Cologne. Here you finde more information. The stickers cannot be mail ordered. You can buy them in Cologne in person at various places. Cars not registered in Germany need to get in touch f.i. with a DEKRA- or TUEV-dependance to get the sticker (please verify the newest status on this info before you come to Cologne).

 

Parking in lower Ehrenfeld

Parking is not free anymore. You have to buy tickets at the machine by the hour. Alternatively you can park your car in other areas of Cologne and come back or use a paid parking lot.

 A Tip:  Parking in Schmalbeinstraße (ca. 950 m away) supposedly costs 4 Euro/day (we only heard about it, but never parked there, but pricewise it would be a jackpot if you can find a parking spot there). Supposedly there is a similar deal available at Weinsbergstrasse (between Piusstrasse and Froebelstrasse), we were told.

 

 

Getting here from the Airport Cologne-Bonn

By Train - Deutsche Bahn

• Direct Connection from the airport by train to train station "Bahnhof Ehrenfeld" (once per hour, duration approx. 20 Min.).
• Also: Connection from the Airport by train with one change into a connecting train at main train station (often on the same platform) to train station "Bahnhof Ehrenfeld" (twice per hour, duration in total approx. 30 min)

From Trainstation "Bahnhof Ehrenfeld" you can then either take a taxi, the underground tram ( Line 3 or 4 Direction City, 2 stops until "Piusstrasse") or on foot  (1300 Metres) until Vogelsanger Strasse 56.

 

By Taxi:

• From the airport to Vogelsanger Strasse 56: Depending on time and day and of course traffic volume you will pay approximately 35-45 Euro one way and you can expect to take 20-30 Minuten drive time (guestimate).
